Conflict Resolution for Creating and Sustaining Inclusive Workspaces 101

Conflict is a normal part of working with people. Left unaddressed, it erodes trust, stalls projects, and makes it harder for staff and job seekers alike to feel they belong. Handled well, it can strengthen relationships and surface what people need to move forward together. This interactive workshop introduces practical conflict resolution strategies for workforce development professionals. Through guided discussion and hands-on practice, participants will build the awareness and communication skills needed to navigate difficult conversations with care.

At the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Expand their emotional vocabulary to better identify and communicate feelings in workplace interactions.

  • Practice listening to understand through active listening and perspective-taking exercises.

  • Build confidence in giving and receiving feedback about the impact of behaviors or comments in a constructive and inclusive way.
