Stronger Together: 44th Annual Meeting Recap
Written by Rachel Austin-DeBruin
On Thursday, June 12th, we enjoyed celebrating at CJC's 44th Annual Meeting. Our theme, Stronger Together: United in Purpose, Empowered by Action, was highlighted by a panel discussion, moderated by CJC CEO Dr. Lisa Bly-Jones. Julio Rodriguez, Deputy Director of the Office of Employment and Training at DCEO; Ryan Croke, First Assistant Deputy Governor for Health and Human Services; and Ayom Siengo, CJC Board Member and Senior Director of Critical Needs at The Chicago Community Trust, participated in a lively discussion on how we can best leverage our collaborative strength to protect what we have, build resilience, and find opportunities in a changing world.
During the celebration, we also looked back over the work that CJC has done this year.
We wish to extend congratulations to our award winners. The Field Builder Award recognizes organizations that consistently demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement and elevating the workforce field through professional development. Congrats to New Moms! The Betty J. Willhoite Award honors a legacy of dedication and excellence by going above and beyond to advance CJC’s work. Congrats, Beth Berendsen of Chicago Women in Trades!

This Annual Meeting would not have been possible without the contributions of our generous sponsors, silent auction donors, and attendees.
We look forward to growing stronger together throughout our next fiscal year!
