Workforce Convo: CEJA in Action

The Climate and Equitable Jobs Act: From Advocacy to Implementation

Chicago Jobs Council supported the passage of CEJA in 2021, and today we continue that work by supporting CEJA grantees as they bring clean energy workforce programs to underserved communities.

This month’s Workforce Convo will spotlight lessons from CJC’s CEJA Table, where community-based organizations, training providers, and advocates are connecting residents to meaningful training and career opportunities in clean energy.

By attending, you will:

  • Learn from the field: Explore insights gathered through CJC’s engagement with CEJA grantees across Illinois.

  • Shape your practice: Gain takeaways you can bring back to your own programs as Illinois invests in equitable jobs.

  • Connect with leadership: Meet Chris Warland, CJC’s new Director of Policy, and join the conversation on where workforce policy is headed next.

Date: Thursday, September 25, 2025
Time: 9:00 am - 11:00 am
Location: Chicago Jobs Council Office

Don’t miss this opportunity to explore how the future of clean energy workforce development is taking shape in Illinois.
