Expanding Career Pathways: Apprenticeships and CEJA Opportunities

This training is exclusively for SNAP and/or TANF Employment & Training providers in Illinois.

This Community of Practice session is designed for SNAP and TANF Employment & Training providers in Illinois who want to better connect clients to career pathway opportunities.

Participants will explore both paid and unpaid apprenticeship options available across Illinois and learn how these pathways can support skill development and long-term employment. The session will also feature a special overview of the Illinois Climate and Equitable Jobs Act (CEJA) program, highlighting training opportunities in the growing clean energy sector.

Through discussion and shared practice, providers will walk away with practical strategies and resources to help clients access career pathways that align with their goals and needs.

After attending this gathering, you will be able to:

  • Identify paid and unpaid apprenticeship opportunities across Illinois

  • Describe key training pathways available through the CEJA program

  • Connect clients to career pathways using practical tools and resources
