This virtual session offers a practical introduction to the core principles of Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI), designed specifically for IDHS providers. Participants will learn how to recognize early signs of crisis, use supportive communication techniques, and respond in ways that reduce stress and promote safety. The lesson focuses on real world scenarios and tools to help staff prevent and de-escalate challenging situations, while building positive relationships with the individuals they serve. No prior TCI training required, just a willingness to learn and engage.
