Esther Kim
Policy Research Coordinator
Bio
Esther joined CJC as the Policy Research Coordinator in 2024 and previously served as a policy fellow from 2023-2024. Esther is charged with tabling a coalition of workforce partners to see through the successful implementation of the Climate and Equitable Jobs Act (CEJA) workforce programs. She is passionate about seeing policy in action and strengthening public sector investments in workforce development to move communities into economic security.
Esther has previously served as a program manager of a workforce development program and has experience in housing policy analysis and houseless community outreach. She comes from a social work and social administration background, earning her degrees at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa and the University of Chicago. Hailing from Hawaiʻi, Esther has witnessed how imperative it is for policies to be driven and led by impacted communities and relationships.
In her free time, Esther enjoys reading, creative media, cooking, and hanging with her dog, Baba.
