Ellen JohnsonProgram AssociateEllen joined CJC as Program Associate in November 2007, assuming primary responsibility for planning, organizing and implementing CJC’s Frontline Focus professional development series. In addition to working closely with CJC’s membership program, Ellen will also help launch the agency’s Workforce Development Resource Center. Ellen comes to CJC with a background in nonprofit development, having fundraised to support programs that serve individuals with developmental disabilities, incarcerated mothers, and student writers. Prior to moving to Chicago, Ellen also worked as a writing tutor at the University of North Carolina’s Writing Center. Ellen received a bachelor’s degree from Drake University in 2002 and masters’ degrees in both Social Work and Public Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2007. |
